Target Audience:
My target audience is 16-24 year olds, therefore, I have decided to use a teenage girl and boy to take the role of the protagonist so that my target audience can relate to the story and the emotion within the song. I will also be using a big variety of editing and camera techniques in order to build up anticipation for the end of the narrative. As a result this will appeal to my target audience as exciting new editing skills will keep them captivated to the video. With the locations I will be using will attract my target audience as they would have experienced all these locations which also makes the audience have a connection with the protagonists as it makes them relative with the song more, these locations will all be based in England and will show the life of a teenager.
Location:
I am planning to use about four to three locations in the whole music video: A bedroom, a bathroom, a festival, a train platform and a forest. These will help portray the journey which my characters will go on whilst making the video more exciting as the visuals will be constantly changing. I want the locations to highlight the feelings and the emotion that the artist is trying to portray in the song. The artist will be in most of these locations except the festival as it shows the divide between the protagonists.
Equipment:
I will be using my iPhone as my camera to record all of the shots of for them music video. However, to take photos of the artist herself I shall use my Canon camera so that I can get the perfect photo of the artist, and will be able to edit them without ruin the quality of the photo which can happen if I use my phone to take the photo. I will also be using costumes to portray the protagonists personality and characteristics, for a lot of the shots I will make the artist go in baggy clothes and dark colours. However, the boy will wear jeans and a designer t-shirt/jumper to show the contrast of people.
Crew:
I have two protagonists one being the artist the second being the the boy she is in love with. The artist is at an average height and has brunette hair, the boy is also brunette as is tall and skinny. furthermore I will be using another character to portray the boy cheating at the festival, this girl will be blonde to show the difference between the artist and the girl. I am the only one filming the video as it will make it easier for me to figure out the exact camera shot I want to use film. I will be using a friend to design and pick the perfect costume for each character in the music video.
