Statement of intent
My statement of intent:
For my pop music video, I am using the song "watch" by Billie Eilish. I am planning too emulate the sound of the song through a heart break based music video, whilst still relating to the 16-16 class AB demographic, and to produce a music video that ultimately advertises the song and the artist as enjoyable and meaningful to listen to. I plan to target this demographic through uses relatable atmosphere.
I have decided to include the artist in the music video. Although the artist is still in the music video I am creating a narrative based music video. By putting the artist into the video I feel as though my target audience can get a real connection with the artist as it shows that they go through heart break as well. The narrative I am writing is two teenagers/ young adults who experience heart break, however, the boy get s through it a lot better than the girl does. The lighting I will be using in some scenes will be dark and gloomy, however, I will mainly use natural sunlight around 7pm-9pm when the sun is setting. The main people I will feature in my music video are the boy and girl. I am hoping having this representation of male and female of the same age from completely different backgrounds and social status this will be different and interesting. I have purposely chosen these two to be in my video, to explore the ways in which both genders handle their emotions, this will also allow the audience to have an insight as well. (Don't know my intertextuality yet)
